To all the kind hearts in this world,
I'm Amani, from Gaza City. For the past two years, my family and I have been living as displaced people because of the ongoing war, now in its second year — under siege and famine — after losing our home, our jobs, and everything we once owned.I had a dream of completing my university education, but my university was completely destroyed, along with my dreams and future.
We struggle every day to survive in extremely harsh conditions. Everything around us is destroyed. We have no shelter, no basic necessities. We spend long nights without sleep due to fear and panic. We long for life, for peace of mind. I dream of seeing our children play safely and being able to feed them.
I write to you from the heart of this suffering, searching for a ray of hope to save our lives and our children — to give us a chance to restore a part of our stolen humanity. Your support — even if small — can make the difference between despair and survival, between life and death.
You could be the reason we continue, the reason hope returns to our family, the reason we can dream again and stand strong in the face of this war.
